Sanibel Films produced a one-hour documentary about the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, (CROW), on Sanibel Island, Florida. Each year, CROW has more than 4,000 patients who are sick, injured or orphaned, most of them because of the carelessness of people (hit by car, tangled in fishing line, etc.).
The documentary, titled Back to the Wild, had its theatrical premier on March 27, 2008, in Schein Hall at Sanibel’s BIG Arts cultural center.
The documentary is narrated by Nick Clooney, a nationally-known newsman who also was the host on American Movie Classics for several years. (His son, George, is having a pretty fair career in Hollywood.)
The program was nominated for a Midwest EMMY Award.
